Sam was born on McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas as the son of a KC-135 tanker pilot and Air Force Academy graduate.
Early in Sam’s high school years, he set his sights on following in his dad’s footsteps by attending the U.S Air Force Academy for college.
To achieve that goal, it meant developing himself across three main areas: academics, leadership, and athletics, and becoming as well rounded of a student as possible.
Sam was heavily involved in sports, excelling in both basketball and tennis, and was also a talented musician, playing the trumpet from elementary school throughout high school in addition to guitar.
Sam led his 300-member high school marching band as the head drum major and served as the National Honor Society President among many other leadership positions as well. In his free time, Sam enjoyed taking on projects that allowed him to express his creativity, and it was during these early formative years, that his passion for photography, videography, and storytelling first emerged.
Just a few weeks after graduating from high school, Sam reported to Colorado Springs, Colorado and entered the Air Force Academy as a member of the Class of 2018.
The Air Force Academy exists to provide cadets with a top-tier college education and also develop them into leaders of character who upon graduation, will go on to serve as officers in the United States Air Force.
Sam’s four years at the Academy were some of the most challenging, yet rewarding years of his life. He spent time in both Cadet Squadrons 14 and 28 and majored in legal studies. His senior year, he served as a Cadet Squadron Commander, leading over a hundred other cadets throughout the academic year.
The Air Force Academy is unlike any other college or university in the world, and the lessons and values you learn along the way stay with you for the rest of your life.
If you ask Sam to reflect back on his time there he’ll tell you, “It sure wasn’t easy, but without the Air Force Academy, I certainly wouldn’t be where I am today.”
After graduating from the Air Force Academy in 2018 and entering active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant, Sam’s first assignment was to Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, where he served as the Public Affairs Officer for the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team.
The team exists to recruit, retain, and inspire the next generation of service-members by showcasing the world’s most advanced 5th generation fighter jet at airshows all across the world. Sam’s job? Tell that story. He was in charge of handling all media, community outreach, and internal products, to include photo, video, and social media.
It was here that Sam’s storytelling capabilities really took off. He took the team’s social media pages from roughly 10K followers to over 250,000 in just over 18 months.
By the time Sam left the team after two full seasons, he took with him the unique ability to connect with a widespread audience, and do it in a way that no one else had done before.
After separating from the Air Force in 2022, Sam’s passion for military service has not changed, what has is his ability to share it with an even larger audience.
He dove head first into the world of content creation, assembling his production team compromised of some of the most talented cinematographers and editors in the country.
By taking viewers up close to the world of aerospace & defense, each video Sam and his team create provides a blend of education + entertainment and helps inspire the next generation of service-members, engineers, and the general public, who may one day, go on to serve and support their country both in the military and beyond.
If you ask Sam’s team what makes them unique, it’s their relentless pursuit of creating the most high quality and engaging content on the internet.
However, words are just one thing, results are another. And their numbers, well, they certainly speak for themselves.
Over the last three years, Sam and his team have taken the aerospace and defense world by storm, collaborating with many of the top brands and companies in the space and focusing on content that captivates the viewer’s attention span.
From flying in the backseat of an F/A-18 Super Hornet with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, to embedding with Air Force Special Operations to document their grueling training pipeline, Sam does not shy away from a challenge.
His team is trusted by the top defense contractors, having worked with companies like Lockheed Martin, Skunk Works, Honeywell, RTX, and Boeing. He maintains a fantastic relationship with the different military branches as well, helping them tell their story and recruit the next generation of service-members.
Today, Sam’s brand has amassed over 300 million lifetime views and over 1.5 Million followers. Yet, Sam still views this as only the beginning. He knows how many more unique stories there are to be told.
